It worked great until the speaker blew now it is worthless. i used it maybe 3-4 times... the battery lasts all day and sounds great. But then the speaker blew and it was worthless. i threw it in the garbage since the speacker is built into the tube. It is non replacable
I bought this iHome2go from Amazon and absolutely loved it! The sound quality was great and I was very excited to bring it biking with me. The third time I played music on it, it just stopped working. No sound would come out. The iHome would turn on and charge, but nothing would play. I tried to return it to Ace Digital, the company I had bought it through on Amazon, but it had been three weeks so it was past their warranty time. Ace Digital told me to call Apple and then I ended up having to call three more numbers before I finally got helped. Then I had to answer a long set of questions to make sure that it was actually broken. To ship my iHome2go I had to pay eighteen dollars, ten to Apple and 8 to UPS, and this is on top of what I already paid for the iHome2go which doesn't even work. Now it has been two weeks since I returned the iHome and I have not gotten a new one back. I am just a very frustrated customer. I was planning on bringing my iHome2go with me on RAGBRAI, but was not able to.
Can anyone tell me how big the package (box) is for this item (I'm trying to determine the height/width/depth of the box it comes in)? Also, if the item was taken out of its original packaging, would it fit into into a USPS box 11" x 8.5" x 5.5"? If not, would it fit into a USPS box 12" x 12" x 5.5"? Many thanks!
Well when I 1st saw the ihome to go I had to have it so I came to Amazon and saved $30.00 and was very happy with that part. Once I got it on june 17th 2010 I went right to it and hooked up on my bike and rode around with a smile I had people on the street looking and pointing at me with this look like where is that sound coming from and even had people stop me and ask me questions about it. Now here we are june 26 2010 and I just returned it back to Amazon it went DEAD!!! No Sound No Nothign!!!!!! Even tho Amazon is sending me a new one and I will get it this monday i'm still upset sitting here thinking will this happen again and again?!?!? but if it happens a 2nd time I will ask for my money back I mean I only had it for 9 days and it goes dead? Let's see what happens next
I saw this product about a year ago and had to have it. I had been reluctantly riding with my ipod touch, but knew it was dangerous. This item looked to be just what I needed. I researched and saved my spare change for a year and purchased this with the Ipod Nano 5th generation. While it is listed as a compatible device, it isn't. The Nano does not fit in the adapter specified for the nano, so has to be put manually on the connector, and have the adapter gently slipped over it. The Nano is prone to coming off the adapter on rough surfaces. In addition, I have found that if I turn the device off with the remote control, I can't use the remote to turn it on. I have to unscrew the speaker, take off the adapter, and jiggle the Nano. Not a big deal at the start of the day, but a bit of a pain on a hot, sweaty ride. I did not find the sound quality to be as amazing as others did. It's fine, not great. It suits my purposes while riding, but I wouldn't use the speaker for any other purpose. If I had to buy this speaker again, I certainly would, but I would go on E-bay and buy a used, older model Nano. I will say the battery life on the unt itself is fantastic. I've used it for 25-30 hours on the same pair of batteries!
